Are you looking for something to add a new dimension to your interior design scheme? Our vertical gardens aren’t only for outside. They’re totally suitable for creating a fantastic look inside too. In fact, you can totally rely on indoor living walls for interiors with the wow factor. And that’s not all…
The visual impact of a green wall of plants is undeniable. When we design a plant wall for indoors, we have a wealth of colours, textures and shapes to choose from. We can use almost any houseplant, and when we combine them together in a vertical garden, you can be sure they’ll look stunning. However, a wall of plants brings other benefits besides the wow factor.
Air Quality
Having houseplants in your home has all sorts of benefits to wellbeing, due to improved air quality. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and emit oxygen, and also absorb pollutants in the home. These things improve the air, and not surprisingly, better air leads to feeling better. Headaches, stuffiness and sore eyes can all result from poor air quality, and often these symptoms go away when the air improves. Air quality also has a bearing on focus, concentration and productivity. Obviously a single houseplant can’t do much, but a whole wall of plants could have more of an impact.
Mental Health Benefits
Many studies have shown how being in nature benefits mental wellbeing. It therefore stands to reason that the more ‘nature’ you bring into your home or workplace, the better you feel in that environment. Lots of houseplants indoors means greater relaxation, a more attractive environment, and a positive energy.
Lots of single plants vs. a living wall
All these benefits to mental and physical wellbeing in your home or workplace can come from lots of single houseplants. So why is a green wall better? Well, there are two main reasons. Firstly, it’s a lot easier to take care of. A living wall is almost maintenance free. We can install fully-irrigated plant walls which are plumbed into the water system and give the plants exactly the water they need with no effort required. Alternatively, with manually watered versions, the troughs have an indicator which shows when the watering reservoirs need topping up (usually about once a fortnight). As well as being a no-hassle way to include multiple plants in your indoor space, there’s another important advantage over single plants. It’s an obvious one to spot, as it’s the amazing visual impact of so many plants together. A living wall adds a new and exciting dimension to any decor scheme, whether it’s in the home or the office.
